Matalan Case Study.

Heart IT co-founder Joe has designed dozens of web pages for Matalan’s website. As a large, international retailer, it’s important to keep everything on-brand and consistent, but at the same time eye-catching to hook visitors. Joe kept 2 things in mind when designing and building their web pages:

Engage customers with attractive design.

You want to keep your potential customers on the website for as long as possible. Dwell time is an important factor when designing websites, so an attractive, engaging design can make the difference between a customer won and a customer lost. With the rise of mobile, it’s also important to keep mobile design at the forefront of your mind too.

Increase conversion rate with great user-experience.

Design and UX (user-experience) are two sides of the same coin. Done properly, design and UX complement each other and maximise conversions. The website has to be intuitive, easy to use and simple. If a customer struggles to find a product or service, then your websites UX isn’t ideal.

TillieMint Case Study.

TilliMint is a well-known brand selling through Not On The High Street. They approached us to develop a large e-commerce website to host and sell all of their goods, allowing them to manage everything themselves. We planned out a full strategy, from hosting to launch, including a content management system to allow them to manage their website and products quickly and easily.

Easy to use content management system.

We built the website on the WordPress content management system, allowing the TillieMint team to fully manage their products and website themselves. They have total control over delivery costs, discounts, offers and much more.

Clean, on-brand website.

TillieMint wanted a clean, easy to use website, but they wanted their brand colours to really shine through. We stripped everything back and decided to let their products do the talking on the website. The products are bright and colourful, so by keeping the website clean and minimal, the products really stand out.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Still confused? Take a look at some of our frequently asked questions below. If you’re still looking for an answer to your query, drop us a line and one of our friendly team will be happy to help.

How much does a website cost?

The cost of your website will depend on a large number of factors, such as what functionality is required and how complex the design is. Our website costs range from £400 to £400k (yes, seriously), but 90% of websites we build tend to be less than £5000. If you require a standard business website with a contact form, the price will typically be between £400 and £2000. The best way to get an accurate cost for your website is to get in touch with your requirements and we will provide you with a quote.

I need a quote - What happens next?

The best way to start is to complete our Project Planner. Alternatively, you can drop us a call, email us or complete a contact form on the website to discuss your requirements! Once we have a full understanding of your requirements, we will write up a full quote and send it over to you (typically within 7 days). Once you’re happy to proceed, we’ll send over the initial invoice to you alongside any information we may need from you.

How long will it take to build my website?

Similar to how the cost of a website varies depending on functionality and design, so does the time it takes to build. Most standard websites take anywhere between 1-4 weeks, with more complex websites and e-commerce websites typically taking between 6-10 weeks. Bespoke development can take much longer.

Do I need Hosting & Maintenance?

All websites require hosting and regular ongoing maintenance to ensure that they remain online, secure and up-to-date. If a website isn’t maintained correctly, it can very quickly become insecure and be vulnerable to hacking. Certain functionality on your website can also stop working or break if it isn’t maintained. We provide website hosting and maintenance to all of our clients, which allows us to manage everything on your behalf and quickly troubleshoot and fix any issues that may occur. Over the past 5 years, we’ve had over 99.9% uptime and zero major issues.

Can we have a meeting to discuss things in person?

Absolutely! If you feel like a meeting would be beneficial, we would be more than happy to invite you to our office in the Baltic Triangle. We find that most clients never need a meeting, as phone calls and emails give us everything we need to complete the work. If we personally feel like a meeting is required, we will recommend setting one up with you.

Which option is best for my business?

If you’re looking for a modern, professional website that just works, your best bet will be either our Set Price Websites or our Small Business Websites. If you want it done quickly and easily without the back-and-forth of calls/emails, we would recommend our 1-Day Website. If you have specific functionality required, our Bespoke Development is suited to you.
